Discussion Data

Discussion Data is the primary fuel of discussion analysis as well as one extremely valuable source for sentiment analysis for public relations and market research objectives. Historically, discussion data is also one of the least structured data types leading to hardships in data gathering, cleaning, and analysis.
Within Diffbot’s Knowledge Graph™ discussions are their own entities, and consequently fit into their own structured ontology. As an entity type they are also linked with related entity types which may include products, articles, organizations, or people. The structured nature of discussion data from across the web within Diffbot’s products as well as the fact that it is interlinked with other potential entities of interests allows for greater richness and exploratory value. Sentiment analysis scores are also present in discussion data within Diffbot’s Knowledge Graph™.
